Majida Devani, originating from Calgary, Alberta, is a seasoned designer and Intern Architect renowned for her innovative vision and dedication to urban housing solutions. In 2009, she founded Building Bloc Design (BBLOC), igniting her journey toward reshaping urban landscapes. Collaborating closely with her husband, Alkarim Devani, at Beyond Homes since 2010, Majida has been instrumental in crafting inner-city housing projects prioritizing functionality and aesthetic appeal.
In 2015, Majida's entrepreneurial spirit culminated in RNDSQR, swiftly gaining international acclaim for its architectural ingenuity and commitment to sustainable urban development. As the lead designer at RNDSQR, she has led the charge in creating spaces that push boundaries and challenge conventions, setting new standards for contemporary living. She taks about her process and inspiration in this article.
