Salgirah Mubarak
On behalf of all Northeast Ontario Jamati institutions and Jamati and Majalis Mukhi Kamadia Sahebs and Mukhiani Kamadiani Sahebas, we wish the entire Jamat a heartfelt Salgirah Mubarak!
This past year was especially significant as it marked 50 years of the Jamat’s establishment and strong presence in Canada. Canada has welcomed the Jamat with immense warmth and generosity, and Jamati members have had the opportunity to develop roots in the peace and security of this new home while significantly contributing to Canada’s rich cultural mosaic and civil society.
The Jamat’s unity and generosity of spirit and resources have helped advance the stability of the local and global Jamat. The effects of global conflict and insecurity, climate change, economic uncertainty, and physical and mental health continue to challenge us all.
The Canadian Jamat is anticipated to grow as we continue to welcome murids from various parts of the world. Let us set ourselves up for future success and do everything we can to support and welcome our brothers and sisters. This Salgirah, let us all contribute to building an environment of warmth and friendship, and to extending new bridges of love and concern to newcomers and familiar faces alike. We encourage all those who are in need of support, information, or a helping hand to reach out as needed via Access, and to remember that we are here for one another. Thank you for your support in helping the Jamat continue to build from strength to strength.
Reflecting on the significance of the 87th Salgirah, it is through Mawlana Hazar Imam’s continued guidance and institutional endeavours that we have the courage and faith to overcome adversity and approach new situations with strength and confidence. His tireless efforts have enabled the Jamat to look ahead and plan for our futures with hope, faith, and optimism. For this, we are ever grateful.
During Mawlana Hazar Imam’s 80th birthday celebrations, he shared his vision for the Jamat’s success in the future: "As we look ahead, the Jamat is likely to become more and more a global community…but the essence of the Jamat, the ethics of our faith, the principles which we believe in and which we seek to practice in our lives are the essence of how our community will stay united."
Salgirah Mubarak to each one of you — with prayers for peace, easing of all difficulties, and immense barakah.
