Permanent Residence Applications
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will be accepting over 90,000 Permanent Residence applications for individuals in Canada who are either working in an Essential Occupation (which include certain “low-skilled” occupations) or who were International Students that have recently graduated. Applications will open on Thursday, May 6, and, for most streams, will close once the maximum allotted number of applications have been received. Jamati members who qualify are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this rare opportunity.
Information about these programs can be found here:
- for international student graduates
- for French speaking international student graduates
- for essential workers outside Quebec
- and for French speaking foreign nationals outside Quebec
The Council for Canada will be hosting webinars on these policies to help provide further guidance to the Jamat. Stay tuned for more details.
