Bait-ul Ilm Secondary Spaces of Worship Field Trip
Bait-ul Ilm Secondary Spaces of Worship Field Trip
Youth in grades 7-10 are encouraged to participate in the spaces of worship field trip that will be held on Saturday, May 11. Students will visit a church and a mandir to learn about the diversity of worship spaces.
The field trip aims to provide students with an opportunity to nurture their intellectual and ethical commitment to their own faith, while also understanding and respecting the traditions, rituals, and beliefs of others. This trip will also allow students to engage with spaces of worship other than their own in order to develop an appreciation and understanding of the diversity within their societies. Our aim is to help cultivate a pluralistic mindset by visiting spaces of worship, where students can learn more about other faith communities' beliefs, practices, and the significance of their worship spaces.
Transportation will be provided by First Student Charter Buses, departing from Headquarters Jamatkhana at 9:45am. Students are expected to arrive at 9am. The buses will transport students to each worship space, accompanied by teachers.
The cost of the field trip is $20, and registration is required. Registration will close on or before April 30. Register early as spaces are limited. Given the advanced bookings required for this event, we may not be able to accept any students who have not registered.
Register online or email Prairies BUI for any further inquiries.
