Al-Karim, who is a graduate of University of Alberta in Computer Engineering, considered himself to be a problem solver. Al-Karim is an avid volunteer, who believes that his experiences, both professional and voluntary, have helped him establish strong traits and a tight-knit network that accelerated him throughout his journey.

Saima immigrated to Calgary in 2015, when low oil prices were causing economic challenges. She shares an incredible story about how seeking opportunities for growth and excelling at every step helped her rise from a door-to-door salesperson to her current role in Finance.

Saima is a people-person who believes that grit, excellence, perseverence and networking are the keys to unlocking someone's potential.

Rouman moved to Canada from Pakistan in 2016. As a refugee, he needed to wait six months for work permit before he could find employment in the Canadian labour market. In this video, he shares how he took advantage of that time by enrolling in the nPower training program.
