Zohreh inherited her beautiful voice from her paternal grandmother, who played an important role in her upbringing. At an early age she learned Qasida and religious poetry which she would recite in her native Jamatkhana in Mashad, Iran. Her experience singing in Jamatkhana allowed her and her instructors to explore her potential and hone her artistic abilities. Here she focused on traditional Iranian music.
In 2014 she moved to Toronto where, shortly after, she was featured on the Persian station Radio Javan with Jaana Band, a group she became involved with.
In 2017 Zohreh was invited to join the devotional ensemble to perform at Aiglemont for the commencement of Mawlana Hazar Imam's Diamond Jubilee. Having collaborated only with other Iranian singers, she was delighted to take up the challenge of working with musicians with different styles and backgrounds. In her own words she said "...we just fit together so well". While having extensive experience performing in front of large crowds, she said nothing compared to this performance as she "...had never seen the Imam in person before. To be able to perform in his presence was like a dream." So moving was this experience that it created a turning point in her life and musical career, giving her the drive to focus more on her artistic craft and turning it into her career.
