Nafeesa Dhalwani is a London-based singer, originally from Pakistan. A versatile artist, Nafeesa has been singing since the age of three. Nafeesa is well versed in various genres, including Bollywood songs, to Sufi renditions. Nafeesa was part of four different Golden Jubilee albums: Jalwa 2, Sandes, Jubilee Rut, and Rim Jhim. She regularly performs at regional, national, and international events, and was part the 2018 Diamond Jubilee celebrations in Lisbon, as well as the virtual Eid concert, Shukrana. She is a member of an Ismaili band, Zamana, based in London. Her new devotional song, ‘Mawla Tera Noor’, has been an instant success globally, within the Ismaili community as well as various other communities.
Zohair Lalani was born and raised in Los Angeles, and started singing at the age of two and a half. When he was in middle school, he trained in Hindustani classical music for three years and received distinction in Vocal Practical and Theory from the University of Chandigarh, Pracheen Kala Kendra. While attending Emory University in Atlanta, Zohair joined their Bollywood fusion a cappella group, Suri, and performed as the male lead for two years. His most memorable devotional work is the Jubilee Mubarak Mashup, which he produced and performed during the Diamond Jubilee year at the National Jubilee Arts Festival in the US. He is now based in New York and enjoys collaborating with other artists in his spare time.
Shaila Premji is a Bollywood dancer and choreographer in Toronto. She has performed at a number of community based events such as the World Partnership Walk, the Jubilee Arts Regional and National competitions and most recently participated in Canada’s first ever Ismaili arts tour, Rihla. She is trained in a number of styles including Bollywood, Kathak, Western styles, and Bhangra.
