We are looking for nominations of women entrepreneurs who are making an impact. The recipients will share their stories at the 2021 Virtual EntreprenHERship Tea in November 2021. This inspiring event will celebrate the resiliency, creativity, and ingenuity of entrepreneurs who have overcome the significant challenges and barriers that women often face with leading a business, further exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic disproportionately affecting women entrepreneurs. For instance, in addition to systemic discrimination and gender bias, women entrepreneurs face challenges and barriers to secure financing, supports and services. Notwithstanding these barriers, women entrepreneurs have continued to demonstrate resiliency, creativity and new ways to survive and thrive! Specifically, Canadian women have played a leading role in the creation and management of new businesses, pivoted to generate new jobs, and innovated in response to the COVID-19 pandemic (Cukier et al. 2021).
The EntreprenHERship Tea brings together and celebrates women entrepreneurs who have shown incredible entrepreneurial spirit, leadership, and resilience to protect and strengthen their business and their community.
Let’s take the opportunity to recognize the incredible achievements of women in our community who have shown incredible entrepreneurial spirit and leadership over this past challenging year.
