Mental Health Resources for Newcomers

February 21, 2021 | Canada

Mental health includes how we think, feel and behave, and it is an important part of our overall health. There are many things we can do to improve our mental health, such as eating well and being active. We can also ask for help and support from family, friends, community groups and settlement service providers. The video is compiled by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, is geared towards newcomers: Your Mental Health and Well-Being.

If you or someone you know is in need of immediate help, please call 911 or contact your nearest hospital.

You can also get connected to mental health support, resources, and counselling with an Ismaili mental health professional. Please call the Jamati Access Line at 1-888-536-3599.
