Aging in Place Toolkit: My Transportation

June 25, 2021 | Canada

The Aga Khan Council for Canada in partnership with United Way of the Lower Mainland is launching the Aging in Place Toolkit. This toolkit is designed to guide you through a self-assessment, reflection, and planning exercise, with resources that can support you to plan for a future aligned with your needs, values and wishes. Over the next few weeks we will highlight sections of the tool.

This week’s featured section: My Transportation.

Reflect on your current transportation needs and methods, while considering how this may change in the future and what services/options may be available to you.

As we age and move through the stages of our lives, we may face changes in our health, finances, housing, social, and community connections. As you plan for your future, you may want to Age in Place in your own home and community. Aging in place means having the health and social supports and services you need to live safely and independently in your home or your community for as long as you wish and are able.

We encourage you to complete this tool, reflect, explore resources, create a plan, and discuss this with your family and social support networks.

Visit the Aging in Place Plan site to complete the toolkit. Plan today for the life you want to live tomorrow.
