Volunteer Opportunity: Digital Graphic Designer

The Council for Edmonton is looking for qualified digital graphic designers. This volunteer opportunity will be a 6-month assignment, and the individual will report to the Project Manager. This assignment requires an energetic, enthusiastic, and focused individual who can bring innovative designs to the table.
The Role: The Graphic Designer will be responsible for the creative process and will create collateral (e-invites, brochures, and event packages) for campaigns on social media platforms, digital advertising, websites, and blogs.
Competencies:
- Proficient in: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Dreamweaver, Canva, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Strong creative skills and ability to contribute and collaborate within a team setting
- Ability to work independently
- Strong communication skills
- Creative thinker with a passion for design
- Strong attention to detail
- Must maintain knowledge of current digital best practices and technology
- Strong organizational skills
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Manage social media, email, and web projects/campaigns from start to finish
