2021 Ismaili Health Professionals Conference: Meet Dr. Zayna Khayat
Dr. Zayna Khayat will be one of the keynote speakers at this year’s virtual Ismaili Health Professionals Conference taking place from Friday, August 13 to Sunday, August 15. The theme of this year’s conference is “COVID-19: A Catalyst for Resilience, Innovation, and Advancement”.
Dr. Khayat is a Future Strategist with SE Health (formerly, Saint Elizabeth Health Care), which is a health and social impact enterprise with a major focus on creating a better future for aging adults in their homes and communities. Additionally, she is adjunct faculty with the Rotman School of Management in the Health Sector Strategy stream where she teaches a health MBA course on Healthcare Innovation. She has also been on the Faculty of Singularity University within the Exponential Medicine program since 2016.
Previously, Dr. Khayat was the lead of Health System Innovation at MaRS Discovery District, a health innovation hub in Toronto, Canada. In 2017, she was seconded to the REshape Innovation Centre at the Radboud University Medical Centre in the Netherlands.
Dr. Khayat completed her Ph.D. in diabetes research from the University of Toronto (2001), followed by a career in strategy consulting. She has also worked in the healthcare practice of The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as a Principal.
