The First Aga Khan - Virtual Book Discussion

Description

Join us for a virtual discussion of the book The First Aga Khan: Memoirs of the 46th Ismaili Imam, the autobiographical account of the life of Imam Hasan Ali Shah (as) composed in 1851, and recently published by the Institute of Ismaili Studies for the first time in an English translation.

This session will take place online on Sunday, June 11 from 10 - 11 am PT.

This is an opportunity to engage with fellow learners, exchange perspectives, ask questions, and deepen our understanding of this fascinating work. Our experienced moderator, Alwaez Sameer Premji, will guide us in an exploration of some of the key themes and ideas of the book, the historical context of the life and Imamat of Mawlana Hasan Ali Shah (as), and their significance for the trajectory of the global Ismaili Jamat.

While we encourage you to delve into The First Aga Khan beforehand and view the short video introduction, no prior knowledge is necessary.

Register soon as spots are limited.

Copies of the book are available at Jamatkhana literature centres.
