The Ismaili Parliamentary Internship Program is a competition for university graduates with an interest in governmental affairs. The program provides Members of Parliament with highly qualified interns, and gives university graduates an opportunity to supplement their knowledge of Canadian politics with practical, hands-on experience.
Intern responsibilities include working with their assigned Member of Parliament in a variety of areas including parliamentary committee work and working with constituents. Graduates of the program are better able to significantly contribute to Canadian public life.
The program runs for four months, from September to December 2018. To be eligible you must be a permanent resident or citizen of Canada, have recently completed a university degree, and have an interest in Canadian politics. Two positions are available. Deadline is May 31, 2018. Applicants are encouraged to submit their application materials early.
Compensation is a stipend of $10,000.
